For the Acireale Municipality and neighboring zones in order to meet a significant variation in the number of users in the summer months, we made an innovative remote control system for the abstraction and supply system.
Through the hydraulic connection of all the abstraction and storage points, the 23 peripherals we made, connected through a radio network, make water available in every point of the network, despite the abstraction point used. This allows to reduce the energy consumption by favoring the lower cost source, without limiting the water availability, especially in the higher request periods.
Pumping systems with inverters which have pressure and flow control have allowed a great energy saving.
The time bracket optimization - automatically managed by the control system - has subsequently made the bill drop for the user.
